- Coming soon!

'Physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness,' said Joseph Pilates, a belief that resonates with me. While you don't have to be in complete physical shape to be happy, I understand that our physical well-being significantly influences our overall happiness. Therefore, I aim to create a welcoming and supportive space where you can focus on enhancing your health and fitness, regardless of your current physical condition.

In my classes, I emphasise the importance of listening to your body. Everyone has unique abilities and comfort levels, and finding your personal rhythm is essential. By prioritising your health through Pilates, you can cultivate habits that lead to a more balanced and joyful life. Whether you're looking to improve flexibility, strength, or overall well-being, as your Pilates instructor, my classes are designed to meet your individual needs.

What is Pilates?

Pilates is a century-old exercise method founded by Joseph Hubertus Pilates, who overcame significant health challenges in his youth. He developed a series of exercises aimed at restoring optimal health, integrating principles from ancient Greek and Roman practices. After moving to England and later to the USA, he established a studio in New York, where he taught his unique method, originally called Contrology.

Today, Pilates has evolved and is embraced by people of all fitness levels. It focuses on core strength, flexibility, and the vital connection between mind and body. The slow, controlled movements enhance stability and support the spine while promoting overall health. This holistic approach makes Pilates accessible to everyone, regardless of their fitness background.

My Style of Pilates

As a Pilates instructor, I teach traditional mat-based Pilates. This programme is designed to strengthen the core muscles while improving flexibility and overall health. My classes focus on adaptations that make these exercises accessible to all, helping to relieve pain, discomfort, and stress.

The core principles of Pilates include concentration, balance, precision, and breathing. By integrating these principles, I help students build strength and achieve better alignment, which can correct postural issues and enhance overall well-being. My goal is to ensure each participant feels empowered and confident in their body.

 Benefits of Pilates

The benefits of Pilates are immense. As a Pilates instructor, I personally have found that strengthening core muscles dramatically improves overall strength and well-being. Even on days when I feel tired or stressed, stepping onto the mat revitalises me. My Pilates practice not only enhances my physical strength but also relaxes tension throughout my body. By the end of each session, I feel more relaxed, happier, and ready to tackle the day.

Whether you're looking to improve flexibility, strength, or simply want a holistic approach to exercise, Pilates can be that journey for you.
